Deployment Scenario

ADONIS is designed to be deployed in a distributed architecture:

  • The ADONIS application server is installed on the designated server machine.

  • The ADONIS application server accesses the ADONIS database on a separate database server.

  • In addition, a web server is needed which hosts the ADONIS web application.

  • To access the web application and thus the functions of ADONIS, a web browser is used, which is installed on the client computers.

Two different toolkits can be accessed from the browser:

  • ADONIS users work with ADONIS. For this they employ the application scenarios such as "Design & Document".

  • ADONIS administrators administrate ADONIS. For this they employ the ADONIS Administration.

Installation Requirements​

To install ADONIS, the following requirements must be met:

  • As the ADONIS application server is installed as a Windows service, the active user must have administrator rights on the application server machine.

Operational Requirements​

The following requirements must be met before you can use ADONIS:

  • A database server must be available in the network.

  • An ADONIS database must be created (see "Create Database").
