Deployment Scenario
ADONIS is designed to be deployed in a distributed architecture:
The ADONIS application server is installed on the designated server machine.
The ADONIS application server accesses the ADONIS database on a separate database server.
In addition, a web server is needed which hosts the ADONIS web application.
To access the web application and thus the functions of ADONIS, a web browser is used, which is installed on the client computers.
Two different toolkits can be accessed from the browser:
ADONIS users work with ADONIS. For this they employ the application scenarios such as "Design & Document".
ADONIS administrators administrate ADONIS. For this they employ the ADONIS Administration.
Installation Requirements
To install ADONIS, the following requirements must be met:
- As the ADONIS application server is installed as a Windows service, the active user must have administrator rights on the application server machine.
Operational Requirements
The following requirements must be met before you can use ADONIS:
A database server must be available in the network.
An ADONIS database must be created (see "Create Database").
