Migration Scripts
The ArchiMate Application Library is constantly being evolved, incorporating methodical improvements. To prevent potential data loss when upgrading from an older version to ADOIT 21.0, your repository contents need to be adapted to fit the new method. This is where the migration scripts come into play.
Only execute these scripts when prompted to do so as part of a migration guide!
These scripts are executed when you use the default library (= the ArchiMate Application Library) and perform an upgrade from an older version to ADOIT 21.0.
Script "17.1 - Invisible_workspaces_location_migration"
This script updates the repository with the following changes:
- Workspaces: Grants users write access to all workspaces where they are designated as members or admins. Additionally, when upgrading from ADOIT 17.0 to 17.1 or higher, all objects of the type Workspace are relocated from the special "Workspaces" folder to the "Objects" group—the main object group in the Object Catalogue—and the "Workspaces" folder is then removed.
Workspaces are invisible in ADOIT 17.1 or higher and are not accessible in the Object Catalogue.
Script "17.0 - DATA_OBJECT_migrate_type_attr.js"
This script updates the repository with the following changes:
- Attribute "Type": For all Data Objects, this script converts the Type attribute from an enumeration list to an enumeration. Both attribute types represent a list of predefined values, but after the conversion to an enumeration, only a single value may be selected instead of multiple values.
If no value was selected prior to the conversion, the new value will be "No Entry". If a single value was selected, it will be retained. If multiple values were selected, the topmost selected value from the list of predefined values will be retained.
