Deployment Scenario
ADOIT is designed to be deployed in a distributed architecture:
The ADOIT application server is installed on the designated server machine.
The ADOIT application server accesses the ADOIT database on a separate database server.
In addition, a web server is needed which hosts the ADOIT web application.
To access the web application and thus the functions of ADOIT, a web browser is used, which is installed on the client computers.
Two different toolkits can be accessed from the browser:
ADOIT users work with ADOIT. For this they employ the application scenarios such as "Design & Document".
ADOIT administrators administrate ADOIT. For this they employ the ADOIT Administration.
Installation Requirements
To install ADOIT, the following requirements must be met:
- As the ADOIT application server is installed as a Windows service, the active user must have administrator rights on the application server machine.
Operational Requirements
The following requirements must be met before you can use ADOIT:
A database server must be available in the network.
An ADOIT database must be created (see "Create Database").
