Emergency Mode
If normal operation is not possible, ADONIS will enter emergency mode. Until the problem is resolved, users will see an error message when attempting to log in to ADONIS.
There can be various reasons for ADONIS to enter emergency mode:
No connection to the specified ADONIS database could be established.
In the log file
<Tomcat>/logs/ADONIS16.1.log
, the log entry Application has started in emergency mode because it could not establish a connection to the database! will be output.Check whether the parameters
dbname
anddbtype
in the configuration file<ADONIS 16.1 application server>/conf/server.conf
have been set correctly (see Configure ADONIS Application Server).Contact your database administrator if the problem persists.
The library that should be used was not specified correctly (most often the case if there are multiple application libraries in the ADONIS database).
In the log file
<Tomcat>/logs/ADONIS16.1.log
, the log entry Application has started in emergency mode because of a library misconfiguration! will be output.Check whether the parameter
libname
in the configuration file<ADONIS 16.1 application server>/conf/server.conf
has been set correctly (see Configure ADONIS Application Server).
There are syntax errors in the application code which cause validation on the web server to fail.
In the log file
<Tomcat>/logs/ADONIS16.1.log
, the log entry Application has started in emergency mode because of JS syntax in a MFB! will be output.Contact our support team to help you solve this issue.
No valid licence is available.
In the log file
<Tomcat>/logs/ADONIS16.1.log
, one of the following log entries will be created: Application has started in emergency mode because of an invalid licence! or Application has started in emergency mode because the database contains data in a language not present in the selected licence!.A login to the ADONIS Administration will be possible, and the Import Licence dialogue will open automatically.
For troubleshooting purposes, you can still download the support information package (SIP) containing all relevant log files when ADONIS is in emergency mode. Be aware that the SIP will only include the log files of the web server if no connection to the application server could be established. To download the SIP:
- Open a web browser and navigate to "http://<SERVER_NAME>:<TOMCAT_PORT>/ADONIS16_1/supportinformation".
If you cannot fix the issue on your own, feel free to contact our support team.
